In this workshop we'll lean on setting a foundation to drawing: Gesture. Essentially the soul of drawing, we will spend class sketching from the live model in various timed poses. Rhythm, movement, and flow are all concepts to be covered. Posses will rangefrom 2 minutes, 5's 10's.

Focus will be heavy on the total action/mood of a figure rarther than fully rendered pieces.

 Create something heartfelt—and handmade—in this sweet Valentine’s Day workshop! Participants will learn the basics of glass fusing as they design and assemble their own kiln-fired Valentine ornament. Choose from vibrant glass colors, shapes, and embellishments to craft a one-of-a-kind keepsake perfect for gifting or decorating. No experience necessary—just bring your creativity and we’ll guide you step-by-step!

In this workshop we will focus on a single long-pose figure drawing. Gesture and form will be a main focus. Other principles covered will be relationships, proportion, shadow mapping, and light/shade. We will draw in half-hour durations during these three hours.

Please note: Participants in this workshop will be drawing from a live nude model.

In this 3 hour workshop, you will create a handmade pincushion using English paper piecing. We will learn the basic skills and techniques needed for creating beautiful, intricate English paper pieced quilts, including: selecting fabrics, cutting pieces using acrylic shapes, “fussy-cutting” motifs, glue-basting, and relevant hand-sewing techniques. No prior sewing experience is necessary!
