The workshop will build on students’ existing foundation, improving observational skills while developing more in-depth skills for drawing figure.

Initial focus is placed on gesture drawing techniques to see the entire form and be able to capture its essence quickly. Using the Loomis Head/ Figure methods we’ll tackle the key difficulties most people have when drawing bodies and faces in space. The exercises are based on both reference photos and/or life models (draped poses).
