Saturday Pottery Wheel Date Night Workshop

Learn a new skill together with your partner, friend, or family member! We will walk you through the wheel throwing process together. No clay experience necessary but dress for a mess! Clay, glazes, and firing fees are included. Ages 18 & up. Price is per person.

Discover the ancient art of natural dyeing in our Exploring Natural Dyes: Indigo class. This 2 Hour Workshop will guide you through the process of creating beautiful, sustainable textiles using indigo dye. You’ll learn how to dye fabrics using natural ingredients, starting with a bandana provided by us. Feel free to bring up to two additional items from home made of natural fibers like wool, cotton, linen, or silk for the best results.

Cyanotype is a camera-free technique for creating images by placing objects on any number ofmaterials including paper, wood, fabric, and clay. After coating the material with a specialsolution and choosing your subject matter and composition, you will then expose it to the sun orelse under an ultraviolet lamp; the UV light will then bake the negative of the image into thechosen medium creating a stunning prussian-blue work of art.

5:30 PM — Students will meet at CCC for a brief introduction. Instructor will lead students to the Upper or Lower Ramble to paint with gouache, watercolors, or acrylic on paper or stretched canvas.

7 :30 PM — Students will return to CCC to discuss the experience.
