Cyanotype For Beginners
with Kale Ogle
Explore the enchanting art of cyanotype! This camera-free technique uses a special light-sensitive solution on mediums such as paper and fabric to capture images in a dazzling prussian blue hue. In this workshop we will briefly cover the history and evolution of cyanotype as well as the appropriate application and materials to use for best results. We will then experiment with pressed flowers and foliage, various geometrical and abstract shapes, as well as photographic negatives to create stunning and personal works of art.

Add your own spooky, silly, or magical details to create a one-of-a-kind mug with plenty of personality. No pottery experience is needed—just bring your creativity and get ready for a festive, hands-on clay experience the whole family can enjoy!

Plein Air Painting | October 9

Join us for our watercolor & acrylic nature painting workshops! Enjoy some time outside and be inspired by the nature around you. This workshop is open to adults ages 18+ — bring a friend, special someone, or just yourself!
This workshops is free to Fayetteville City Residents thanks to the sponsorship by City of Fayetteville, Parks and Rec & Arts and Culture Departments
FRIDAY DATES:
5:00 PM — Students will meet at CCC for a brief introduction. Instructor will lead students to the Upper or Lower Ramble to paint with gouache, watercolors, or acrylic on paper or stretched canvas.
7 :00 PM — Students will return to CCC to discuss the experience.
In event of rain the session will be held indoors at the CCC.
Clay Ghost Workshop | October 9

Create a charming Halloween decoration in this beginner-friendly hand-building clay workshop! Participants will learn how to construct a whimsical ghost luminary by forming clay around a cardboard cone, then bringing their creation to life with carved facial features and optional decorative textures or sculpted details. After the pieces have dried and been bisque fired, each luminary will be finished with a glossy white glaze, creating a festive keepsake that's perfect for Halloween décor. No prior clay experience is necessary—just bring your creativity and imagination!
